I have a lot of random pictures from the last week and decided to just do one big post, instead of a lot of little ones. The girls and I have stayed pretty busy, which I like. And with Valentine's Day coming (and birthday celebrations shortly thereafter), we have a lot to do!
Sophia moves all over the place now, and no area is completely safe. We have to 'watch her like a hawk' (she found the cat food this morning), and often, she gets herself into her own little jams. For example, she loves to crawl under furniture:

The weather was nice enough this week (still a little chilly but nice for January), so we took advantage of the sun and went for a little walk:
The fresh air did all of us some good. We weren't gone long, just enough to get us out of the house for a bit before lunch.

The girls were so good this week, that I let them have McDonalds for lunch one day. Sam loves cheeseburgers, but this time, I surprised her ... and along with her cheeseburger, I got her her first milkshake.
Needless to say, she loved it! And she finished the WHOLE thing!

I am reminded on a regular basis just how lucky I am -- I have 2 beautiful, little girls that love each other wholeheartedly and play together SO well. Occasionally, I have to remind Sam to share with her little sister, but those times are few and far between. This is what I witness all the time:
And I see a lot of this (smiles):
And even more of this (kisses):
And that makes Little Sister SO happy (and Momma too):

Sam loves to help out in the kitchen. I'm starting to think that it is because she loves to sample the food as she is cooking! She eagerly grabs her stool and apron whenever we ask if she wants to help, and this morning was no exception. Her and Daddy made some breakfast burritos and they were so good!
Disclaimer: Sam's hair is SO wild in the morning before I have a chance to tame it! One of the woes of inheritating Momma's curly hair!
Deep in concentration, hardly taking a moment to look at the camera:

Sophia loves to pull books out of the book cabinet -- Samantha loved it too when she was younger. It isn't long before we end up with a HUGE pile of books spread all over the floor ...
And a happy little girl:

Finally, Sam loves her tricycle SO much. But with the colder, winter weather, she obviously hasn't been able to ride it very much. Last night, Steve and I cleaned up a large portion of our basement and then he took her tricycle down there this morning so that she could ride it around. She was 'over the moon' with excitment:
