We do a lot of "projects" in this house -- anything from baking and decorating to coloring and creating masterpieces. Sam thrives on it, and I highly encourage it. We love being creative and using anything that we have around the house to inspire her imagination.
Last week, we created two "love bugs." Using some paints, she chose the colors and the pattern for them. I dipped her hands to make the legs of the bugs and after they dried, she made their faces.
As you can see, she was VERY excited to get started:
Dipping her hand:
Checking to make sure that she had enough paint on her hand:
Practicing making a circle to complete the head on her "love bug:"
I'm not sure why we made two bugs; maybe just because it was double the fun for her ...
After they dried and she put the faces on them, we hung them on our basement door ... which is where all of our projects are proudly displayed. I fondly refer to that door as "Project Central." We have done several projects in honor of Spring and will change them out as the seasons progress.
