I've been meaning to post these pictures for a while now ... and just kept forgetting about it. These were taken on Memorial Day. After a late afternoon dinner, we took the girls down to the beach for a little while. Sophia is still becoming accustomed to the sand, and has limited interest in the water right now (we still dip her feet in and let her experience it though). Samantha, on the other hand, spends the majority of her time in the water.
Still unsure of the texture of the sand:
"What, Momma?"
"Do you want to play?"
Enjoying the coolness of the water:
One of Sam's favorite things to do while at the beach is to dig a big hole and fill it with as much water as it will hold.
Sophia tested out the water with Daddy:
.. and the consensus is that she liked it!
Then before we headed home, Steve helped Samantha float in the water. Sam loved it!
The girls were covered in sand and needed baths as soon as we got home. We stripped them down and took turns getting them all freshened up and ready for bed. It was a perfect ending to a nice, holiday weekend ...
