Mid-Week Randoms

Our neighbor girls gift our girls with various items throughout the year.  Whenever they bring a bag of things over to our house, it is "like Christmas" for Sam and Sophia.  Perhaps the greatest treasure this last time was this dress.  It must have been a flower girl dress at one time and Sam deemed it a bridal gown for herself.

When her daddy came home from work one night, she had it on and asked him to dance with her.  Of course, he obliged.  I may have teared up watching him spin her around on the dance floor.

I set-up the jumperoo for Jack last week and he seems to love it!  It took him a couple of days to get the hang of it (that is, he learned that he can push himself up off the floor) and now he is easily entertained in it for about 15 minutes at a time.

We set up our Easter decorations around the house -- lots of bunnies and lots of eggs.  Every year, it is the girls' special job to hang the tiny ornaments on this Easter tree.  It belonged to my grandma and was passed on to me ... and hopefully one day, it will be passed on to my girls.  The ornaments are small and wooden, and so delicately shaped into eggs, bunnies, chicks and ducks.

My sister's co-workers wanted to give her a baby shower, so my mom and I were invited to attend that shower, as well.  Sam and Sophia would have liked to have gone with us, but they were invited to birthday party that was scheduled at the same time.  So, Steve took the girls to the birthday party and I took Jack to the baby shower.  He was the life of the party!   Smiles for everyone ...

We had a day this last weekend where the temperature almost reached 60 degrees!  It was short-lived, but we will take what we can get after this incredibly long winter.

It took all of about two minutes for Samantha to dig our her scooter and take off with it down the driveway:

And this girl was a whiz on her tricycle:

Now, we need to work with Sam to re-learn how to ride her bike without training wheels.  She was just starting to get the hang of it last Fall.  I suspect that it will only take a few lessons and she will be ready to ride it like a pro all summer.

Sophia is incredibly excited about our strawberry plant coming back to life this Spring.  As of the 3rd week in May, it has already starting...
