Mother's Day Tea

Samantha's classroom invited me to a Mother's Day Tea this year and I was so excited to go!  My mom came to my house to watch Sophia and Jack and I headed up to the school at 10 am on Friday.

At my seat at the table was a placemat and a beautiful wrist corsage that Samantha had made for me to wear:

In a vase in the center of the table was a flower with a picture of my pretty girl inside the "flower:"

(I now have that "flower" in one of my potted plants in my house ... I love it so much!)

Hanging on the wall above the table of drinks and delicacies was a paper that Samantha had written for me.  I know that she had really taken her time on her handwriting.

The students got up and recited a verse and a song for us.  It was adorable.  (And Samantha's hair was a little wild at that point because the humidity was about 200%, and curly hair does not fare well in the humidity -- I know this for a fact).

Luckily, there was lemonade as an option for those that did not care for tea!

Once we were done at the school, Sam and I headed across the street and picked up subs for lunch for all of us to eat back at our house.  Because my mom was there, it was the perfect opportunity to have a nice lunch together and then give Grammy the Mother's Day gifts that we had wrapped up for her.
