Yesterday, we took the girls to see Santa at the mall. This was Samantha's 4th year of going (she was only about two weeks old when I first took her). Last year was not a big success with her, as she cried when I put her on Santa's lap, and the only way that I could get a decent picture was to actually sit on Santa's lap with her. This year, though, she was SO excited to see him! She started telling him all about her little sister and what, of course, what she wanted for Christmas this year.
And afterwards, she loved sitting at the little table nearby and coloring.
We only have 14 days until Christmas now, and there are a lot of activities that we have planned in the meantime. I'm trying to relish every last minute that I can to make this holiday special for the girls. Sometimes I wonder if they will remember all of this (well, Sophia won't right now), but I love that we are building traditions ...
