It's been a little while since I last did a comparison of the girls.
While I want each of the girls to grow as individuals and realize their own unique looks and personalities, it's still fun for me to look back at younger pictures of Sam and see how much she has changed and how different/similar the girls look. Here is one of the those comparisons:
(Sam was wearing kitty cat ears for her photo shoot, obviously).
Some of the things that I notice right away:
1). Samantha was always a very serious baby. Therefore, in most of the photos that I have of her, she is looking at the camera ... but not smiling. Sophia, on the other hand, loves to smile for the camera.
2). There is a three-month difference in age for these photos, but Sam's hair has always been darker; including her eyebrows. Sophia is not going to be blonde, but her hair and eyebrows are definitely lighter in color.
3). Samantha's eyes had already started to change to a gray color (they are now brown). Sophia's eyes are still blue, and may stay that way permanently.
4). Samantha has much bigger eyes (like my mom) and her face is round, like mine. Sophia has a more narrow facial structure, like Steve.
I'm anxious to see what kind of personality Sophia develops in the future. Samantha is 'wired' like I am -- very Type A and always on the move. I wonder if Sophia will be more laid-back, like Steve? I guess that time will tell ...
