Last year, Sophia wasn't too sure of the snow. This year though, she totally "gets it."
Her sister taught her how to make snow angels, and she is an expert now.
The view out our deck window:
And what does this momma like to do when we are snowed in? Projects and cooking, of course!
Cupcake decorating (I was so impressed with the decorating skills -- no dumping of sprinkles; just gentle placement):
Making rice krispie treats turned into an educational math lesson -- "Ok girls. Count out 40 marshmallows ..."
" ... And you each get to dump in three cups of cereal ..."
And there were gingerbread cookies to be made. After all, our Christmas week seemed to be cut short because of the power outage, and no Christmas is complete without gingerbread cookies!
Note to self: I really need to get another rolling pin. Two girls + 1 rolling pin = recipe for an argument.
Painting!

Steve began teaching the girls how to hold a cue stick:
Sophia has a little more practice to do!

We celebrated Grandpa's birthday -- he's a New Years' baby, but we waited a week to officially celebrate. (We have to spread out our celebrating during the holiday season!).
Aunt Deb did Samantha's hair for her while she was here. I NEED to learn how to do this!

Fixing breakfast one morning. These girls are adorable in their matching nightgowns! (And the little man in the background is pretty cute too!).

Steve surprised the girls and bought them each a bean bag to sit on while they watch their shows. He made sure to get the same color so that there wouldn't be any disagreements. Good thinking, Daddy!
