We were invited a couple of weekends ago to go to Michigan State and enjoy free food and beverages and watch the basketball game on TV inside a suite. Steve went last year, when it was a later game, but we took this kids this year because the game was at noon. We were with friends and had the whole room to ourselves -- the kids could run and play and there was a never-ending buffet. Plus, MSU won the game!
While my undergraduate degree is from the University of Michigan, my graduate degree is from Michigan State and my whole family bleeds GREEN. Many agricultural collaborations have been done with the college and the orchard, and one day, we hope to send the kids there for college. In the meantime, we're slowly acclimating them to the campus.
Green and white!
Downstairs, before we left.
(And I am chuckling as I look at this picture because Jack managed to escape our house wearing his snow boots -- with nary a snowflake on the ground or in the sky. He was forced to wear those clodhoppers the whole afternoon and when I suggested that he just go around in his socks, he would not hear of it. I guess that I am certainly getting my money's worth out of those boots this season).
