Last night, we took the girls downtown for the Laingsburg Winterfest. It started raining right before we were planning to go, so we debated whether it would be any fun and worth the hassle. The rain didn't last long though, so we gathered the girls up quickly -- making sure they were bundled up warmly -- and drove into town.
We parked on a side-street and walked to a nice location to watch the parade.
Sam waited so patiently for the parade to come ...
And so did Sophia:
And when the vehicles arrived all decked out in Christmas lights, Sam was in awe.
After the parade, we headed back to the car because it was getting chilly and it was also close to dinnertime. As I got Sophia situated in the car, Sam went with Steve and they watched the lighting of the tree for downtown Laingsburg. Santa (and "his wife," as Sam refers to Mrs. Claus) were both there and I think that Sam enjoyed seeing them, as well as all of the Christmas lights.
