Ahhhh ... the magic of Christmas! I love all of it; even the magic of our Elf that continues to make her debut on (or around) December 1st every year for the last 11 years or so. She tries not to repeat too many of her antics in order to keep things exciting, but there are a few standard things that she repeats for the sake of tradition, like the North Pole Breakfast that signifies her arrival.
Taking a 'bubble bath' in the Christmas tree:
Making snowmen out of marshmallows:
One morning, she showed up with her own mailbox (a garage sale find last year) and was writing letters to Santa to tell him how good the Lapinski kids had been:
It took the boys quite a while to find her (even though their bedrooms are in the basement) because she usually resides on the main floor:
Christmas Catherine got into some wrapping paper and starting wrapping herself:
A caterpillar train out of oranges:
A special dessert for the kids' lunch bags:
She also made some "spaghetti" one day:
And TP'd the Christmas tree at the top of the stairs:

Making "chips" using a grater in the kitchen:
One of my favorite antics! Christmas Catherine made gummy bears come out of the sink!
BINGO with friends:
Hiding in a Pringles can:
Jack built a cardboard ramp for his cars and Christmas Catherine 'borrowed' it one night and turned it into a sledding hill:
Another bubble bath:
Snowmen out of donuts:

A hot cocoa bar:
