She discovered that it is even better if she wears her bathing suit during it!

We have a "book cupboard" in our dining room and Sophia is now obsessed with it; much like Sam was when she was the same age. There is something so fascinating about being able to pull out any (and every) book that you please.
And, with the removal of a few books, a certain little individual fits inside the cupboard just perfectly.

Straight from "the spa" and ready to settle down for the night!

Another of Sophia's latest interests is this jack-in-the-box. It was a baby shower gift from one of my aunts when I was pregnant with Samantha, and Sophia just gets the biggest kick out of it!
She has figured out that it is easier to push the button on the top, rather than actually turn the handle on the side:
She laughs right out loud at the bear:

We moved Samantha out of the crib and into her "big girl bed" when she was 19 months old. She climbed out of the crib exactly ONCE, and I didn't want to take any chances. She transitioned very well, and we are grateful for that. Every once in a while, she will get up shortly after we get her tucked in for the night. One of us simply goes back up there and snuggles her back in and she stays there for the remainder of the night.
Last week, she must have gotten up and we didn't hear her (which is strange). Rather than come downstairs, she fell asleep at the top of the stairs. I found her like this when I went to check on the girls before I went to bed -- this is something that I do every night without fail; it's just my thing to do.
I called Steve over and he was able to scoop her up and put her in bed without even waking her!

Sam LOVES to help me water the plants.
And I am grateful for the help (one watering can at a time)!

Enjoying a (rather large) bonfire with her Daddy:

Steve ordered some new filters for our fish aquarium and the package arrived last night. Sam was "itching" all day to open the box, but I told her that she needed to wait until her daddy got home. After dinner, they opened the box together. It wasn't the filters that the girls cared about; rather, it was the nice cardboard box and stuffing that entertained them for quite some time.
